Rumi at Poetry Night
OccultThere are a bunch of wonderful poets reading at poetry night at The Amadeus Project every Monday in Bellingham. Last night, I was going to read from “The Essential Rumi” by Coleman Banks. Alas, they ran out of time before getting to my name. So, I’ll share what I was going to read here, instead:
“In your light I learn how to love.
In your beauty, how to make poems.
You dance inside my chest,
where no one sees you,
but sometimes I do,
and that sight becomes this art.”
