Soul Mate Warning Labels

Occult

Over the past year or so I’ve had an opportunity to talk with a handful of people from around the world.  Each person had something in common.  They were or are in a profound or what the might describe as a soul mate relationship.  The kind they make movies about in Hollywood.  Until recently, I was in a profound relationship, as well.

What made these relationships profound?

When partners sleep they share dreams, sleep cycles get in sync, when they meditate they can journey together without effort, when one feels something the other does in the same moment, the course of their paths in life may be remarkably similar and on and on.  And it all happens so naturally, so frequently and without regard to physical distance.

Talking with people who had one of these profound relationship end either through death or one partner not being ready for the experience,  one thing became clear.  Relationship status has little to do with the connection or bond.   The connection continues.

Certainly, the “volume” can be adjusted, attention and intention shifted and boundaries defined.  The connection, though, appears quite independent of the physical world relationship.

While I’ve experienced everyone to be connected at some level and to some degree, these relationships carry something else with them.  They put your growth on the fast track.  It can be like dropping an awareness bomb in your life.

Whether the relationships survive the physical world doesn’t appear to make much difference.  What they do is provide an opportunity for very rapid growth.  Growth can be uncomfortable.  Very rapid growth can be downright painful!  Which is why I half-jokingly say soul mates should come with warning labels.
