Getting Centered with The Detached Embrace
OccultHere’s a little trick I’ve learned to deal with intense feelings. It works really well for me in processing feelings about people. I’ve used it for both positive and negative relationships. In fact, I just did it a few hours ago for a positive relationship that has been a source of very intense feelings for me, recently. Worked like a charm and calmed me right down.
The Detached Embrace
- Get Comfortable, I prefer to lie down.
- Be Aware of Your Body. You’re probably wound up, so don’t bother trying to relax.
- Close Your Eyes
- Imagine Embracing the person or situation in waves of Love/Appreciation/Acceptance from your heart and flowing with your breathing.
- Do these steps without judgment of Them or You. Just Be with the feelings.
